Founded in 1888 , the city is one of the countrys major ports for central Vietnam . Its tropical climate has two clear seasons , rainy and dry , with an average temperature of about 28 degrees . The area is home to a variety of rare animal and plant species. Danang is also known for its ancient Sa Huynh(Yellow Sand) cuture , a rich legacy of traditional music and remains of the once-mighty Cham empire.
Junction of Trung Vuong street and Bach Dang road, the museum houses more than 300 sculptures from the area of the opulent Cham kingdom, dating from the 7th to the 15th centuries.

This 496 km peak, which crowns Vietnams great nature barrier between north and south , offers stupendous views.
Ngu Hanh Son
Five marble mountains, which symbolise metal, wood, water, fine and earth, 8km from the city centre .
